Comedy…

To live in New York, you’ve got to really love you some New York. To pay thousands of dollars a month to live in a box AND get around on subways AND breathe dirt??!!! Where do I sign up??!!
For the past 2 months, Langhorne and I have been living in Maine….New York City’s polar opposite. Unfortunately, in about 2 months, it will be colder than THIS GUY. So we’ve decided to make the move back before we freeze.
I’m headed back to the city in a few days, and hopefully between recording and playing at Matt Singer’s CD Release Party on the 27th, I’ll be able to find some time to search for an apartment.
For those of you who live in New York, you know what a nightmare it is to search for apartments online. Half of the time the images say “image may not be of the actual apartment” and the other half, the description says Williamsburg, but for some reason, the google map says it’s in Bushwick??? And let us not forget the 1 bedroom that is really a studio or the fact that eventhough your search is under “no fee apts” the description includes a one month broker fee! But sometimes, there are those rare occasions when a listing gives us something like the picture above. yes, SOME times the comedy is well worth the struggle.
