The Blue Monster…

Ever get that sinking feeling that you’ve just lost everything on your computer?

I’ve been staring at a blue screen and a dreaded pinwheel for the past couple of hours while I spoke to an Apple technician.  Everything we did did not seem to rectify the fact that my computer could not get past this damn blue screen.

I am now halfway through reinstalling OS X.  Unfortunately, I can’t remember the last time I backed anything up.  I’m praying we didn’t lose too much….like the 100+ pages of Langhorne’s book she’s been writing over the past few months.  If you never see my face again, it’s because Langs ripped my head from my neck.

UPDATE: After 4 solid hours of headaches, the computer is back up and running!  I’ve been reinstalling updates for the past 45 minutes, but it seems like most of our important things were not lost….INCLUDING Langhorne’s book.  Niiiiiiiiiice!
