LC Fest and Rockwood TONIGHT!

Friday, July 9th, 2010 | Uncategorized | No Comments

If you’re not at Bar4 tonight (and tomorrow and Sunday) from 7:40 on, you’re doing yourself a disservice, cause you’re gonna miss all these people play your favorite hits:

Tom Hayes
Dave Beck
Emily Mure
Aunt Martha
Heidi Sidelinker
Casey Shea
Matt Singer
Lucius
Lowry
Great Elk
Steve Waitt
Matt Basile
Danny Lanzetta & the Liars Club
FK

I copied and pasted this list of names, and I’m now noticing Matt Basile’s name is there…I’m pretty sure he’s not gonna be there and not just because his apartment exploded yesterday at 5am.  Luckily for him (not so luckily for us) he was staying the night with the Sheas.  That’s right Basile, I SAVED YOUR LIFE….you owe me BIG TIME!!  And yes, I’m serious, his apartment really did explode.  Don’t believe me?  Here’s a picture of what once was his bedroom.

If Matt’s exploding apartment proves one thing, it’s that if you’re not using a Mac, you’re fooling yourself.  Yes…Mr. Steve Jobs makes a fine product….a quality product….a durable product.  That’s a Apple ad I’d like to see.  “The iBook – so bad ass, it survives home explosions.”

Yes, it really survived…not only the explosion, but the firemen hosing down the place.  Well done Jobs, Well done.

In more Matt Basile Related news, after I’m finished watching all my friends a play a few tunes at Bar4, I’m gonna head to none other than Rockwood Music Hall to put on a show of epic proportions.  It’s been a while since we’ve had a 1am showing, but we’ve never played a late one at the infamous Stage 2, so if you’re looking for a party tonight, you know where to find us!  Oh, and buy Matt a drink…he needs it.

Warehouse Songs Volume III

Monday, September 29th, 2008 | Uncategorized | 1 Comment

Tired of not having anything to do Thursday, Friday, or Saturday?  Spent one too many nights falling asleep talking to your Cabbage Patch Kids? (see photo left: baby Langs) Are you looking for good live music but just don’t know where to find it?  Are you jealous of all your hip friends when they put on a cd, and they tell you how they were in the audience for the live recording?  Or maybe you’re just looking for a way to drink all night long, but you only have $15 to spend?  Well look no further….

This Thursday through Saturday, the good people from Local Correspondents and Galuminum Foil Productions are putting together Warehouse Songs Volume III at Galuminum Foil Studios in Brooklyn.  I was in England and Florida for the previous two Volumes, but I’ve heard incredible things about the nights.  $15 gets you entry for the night and includes an all you can drink bar of mixed drinks, beer and wine.  Wow, does is get any better?   The answer is yes….you can get a three day pass for $35….you do the math people!

I’m playing Friday night along with my good friends Jeff Jacobson AND Pearl And The Beard….so do yourself a favor and go on Thursday or Saturday.
